Hatha Yoga, the yoga of the body, has much to offer and has been practised in the West for decades.
Hatha Yoga is based on physical exercises and guided breathing. You use your body to it's full potential; enhancing flexibility, balance and overall health. The regular, elongated breathing revitalizes the body and calms the mind. Every class is concluded with an exercise in deep relaxation.
The following yoga classes are on offer:
Classical hatha yoga
Brings you the best yoga has to offer. A series of postures, breathing techniques and guided visualizations, will enable you to transform body and mind.
level 2: strength and relaxation
Lunar Yoga
A soothing, restorative class to release tension. Expands the breath, increases flexibility and leaves you with a sense of bliss.
level 1: calm
Vinyasa Yoga or power yoga
A flow of asana (yoga postures) based on the Sun Salutations. Inspiring class in which you practice at your own pace. Check notice board for a video from this class.
level 3: challenging
Ashtanga Yoga or power yoga
Traditional Power Yoga. Intermediate & advanced practitioners only. Students from other power yoga teachers welcome.

Individual yoga. Series of classes, tailored to your own goals, wishes and strength.

To ensure a maximum range of motion it is advisable to wear loose fitting or flexible clothing. Yoga mats are provided.
The teacher
I am Suzanne Beenackers. I was born in the East of the Netherlands, and as a child spent a few years in Africa. I am a graduate from the university of Groningen with a masters degree in Business Science. I have worked in Australia and the Netherlands, and have made my home in Nijmegen since 2002.
I followed a four year training at the Saswitha Foundation, the oldest and largest yoga teacher training programme in the Netherlands. I received level 1 Power Yoga training from the Dutch Sports Federation (AFN), co-operating with Hilary Menting (Yogamoves) who was trained in California.
After years of teaching, I have now specialized in individual yoga, workshops, and specialized training. Next to that I also teach weekly classes.
